Contest Terms & Conditions

  1. General Provisions
    1. These Regulations (hereinafter — the “Regulations”) define the
      objectives, procedure, participation conditions, voting rules, methods
      of summarizing results, and awarding of prizes for the “Dreams Without
      Borders” contest (hereinafter — the “Contest”).
    2. Organizer:

    3. The Contest is conducted via the website https://eggifest.com (hereinafter —
      the “Platform”).
    4. The Contest is a cultural and educational initiative;
      participation is free of charge; no purchase of goods
      or services is required and will not affect the outcome. The Contest is
      not a lottery, gambling, or promotional game.
    5. Geographical scope: by default — 27 EU countries.
    6. In the event of any discrepancies between language versions of these
      Regulations, the English version shall prevail.
  2. Goals and Objectives
    1. To support and develop children’s creativity, promote the tradition of
      preserving childhood dreams in “time capsules,” and encourage
      international cultural exchange.
  3. Participants and Legal Representatives
    1. The Contest is open to
      children aged 6 to 12 years inclusive on the date of
      registration.
    2. Registration is carried out
      only by the child’s legal representative
      (parent/guardian), who confirms agreement with these Regulations, the
      Privacy Policy, and provides all necessary consents (Appendices 1–2).
    3. Each child may submit one entry per contest cycle.
  4. Entry Object and Material Requirements
    1. Each participant registers on the website and uploads a
      video up to 60 seconds (horizontal or vertical format
      permitted), where the child introduces themselves (name, age, country of
      residence) and talks briefly about their dream.
    2. Materials are prohibited if they:
      • infringe on third-party rights (including copyright, neighboring
        rights, trademarks);
      • contain personal data of others without consent;
      • include offensive, hateful, violent, or dangerous content,
        advertising, or purchase solicitations;
      • contradict the purpose or spirit of the Contest.

      The Organizer reserves the right to moderate or reject submissions.

    3. The participant receives a capsule in the shape of an egg (hereinafter —
      the “Capsule”), decorates it, and places their written dream inside on
      paper.
    4. Optional paid storage: at the discretion of the legal
      representative, the Capsule may be stored for
      25 years under a separate agreement/offer and tariff
      (Appendix 3). Contest participation does not depend on the storage
      option.
  5. Registration and Upload
    1. Registration and material upload are carried out via the Platform’s
      online form, requiring:

      • child’s name,
      • city and country,
      • age,
      • dream description,
      • video file meeting §4.2 requirements.
    2. Contest timeline (UTC+02):
      • Submission opens: 17 November 2025
      • Submission closes: 07 February 2026
      • Stage I (National): voting from 00:00,
        7 February 2026 to 23:59,
        17 February 2026
      • Stage II (International Final): voting from 00:00,
        18 February 2026 to 23:59,
        28 February 2026
    3. Submissions received after the deadline will not be accepted.
  6. Contest Mechanics and Voting
    1. Stage I (National, 10 days): one winner per country,
      determined by the highest number of valid votes.
    2. Stage II (International, 10 days): national winners
      compete for the overall title, awarded to the participant with the most
      valid votes.
    3. Public voting: each registered user may vote once per
      24 hours for one participant (reset every 24h) during the active voting
      stage.
    4. Anti-fraud and vote validation measures:
      • CAPTCHA / reCAPTCHA protection;
      • technical limits (IP/device fingerprint/browser tokens/rate limits);
      • automated and manual audit logging;
      • anomaly detection (suspicious spikes, botnets, proxy/VPN patterns);
      • Organizer’s right to remove fraudulent votes and/or disqualify
        entries upon verified violations;
      • publication of post-audit summaries after each stage (aggregated
        data).
    5. Tie-breaking: preference is given to the entry
      submitted earlier; if identical, the
      Expert Council (see §6.6) decides.
    6. Expert Council: does not affect general “public voting”
      principles but resolves disputes and appeals. Criteria: thematic
      relevance, originality, compliance with safety and legal norms.
    7. Participants may share their unique voting link among friends and
      relatives. “Vote buying,” traffic manipulation, contests with rewards
      for votes, and automated voting are strictly prohibited. Upon successful
      registration, the participant receives an e-mail notification and a
      unique shareable voting link.
  7. Prizes and Awards
    1. Stage I Winners (one per country) and the
      Stage II Grand Winner receive commemorative
      prizes/statuses/certificates.
    2. Taxes and duties, if applicable, are withheld or paid in accordance with
      the recipient’s country of residence. Prizes for minors are issued to
      their legal representatives under a transfer act.
    3. Special Organizer awards may be given (e.g., “For Originality,” “For
      Inspiration,” etc.) at the Organizer’s discretion.
    4. Prize Pool overview: to provide participants and their legal representatives with a general idea of the prize pool, the Organizer has published illustrative reference images on the Platform. These images are for demonstration purposes only and do not constitute a public offer or an exact representation of the final prizes.
    5. Final Prize Pool confirmation: the final list of prizes, including their exact characteristics, models, quantities, and consumer value, will be confirmed and published in these Regulations no later than 25 January 2026. The Organizer guarantees that the final prizes will match or exceed the reference images in terms of overall quality and consumer value.
    6. Prize specifications: upon final confirmation, the detailed description of all prizes will be added as a separate subsection of these Regulations (Section 7.7), including exact names, models, technical specifications, and delivery conditions.
    7. Amendments to Prize information: The Organizer reserves the right to replace any announced prize with another item of equal or higher value if required due to availability, supply chain constraints, legal restrictions, or other justified reasons. Any such replacement will not diminish the rights of participants. Updated prize information will be made publicly available in the amended Regulations.
  8. Rights to Materials and Licensing
    1. By uploading materials, the legal representative confirms ownership or
      authorized rights to their use.
    2. The participant/legal representative grants the Organizer a
      free, non-exclusive, worldwide license (duration — 5
      years or the term of protection under law) to reproduce, publicly
      display, communicate, publish on the Platform and social networks, and
      create compilations/promotional content for the purposes of promoting
      the Contest and the “Dreams Without Borders” campaign, without
      additional compensation.
    3. The child’s name may be displayed as
      [First Name, Initial of Last Name, Country/City],
      unless otherwise required by law or the Privacy Policy.
  9. Personal Data and Security (GDPR / UK GDPR and related laws)
    1. The Organizer acts as Data Controller. Purposes:
      contest administration, moderation, publication, voting, communication,
      prize delivery, reporting, and fraud prevention.
    2. Data categories: legal representative’s data (name,
      contacts), child’s data (name, age, country/city), content (video),
      technical data (IP, logs, device ID), voting/referral metrics.
    3. Legal bases: consent (Art. 6(1)(a), Art. 8 GDPR),
      contest performance (Art. 6(1)(b)), legitimate interest (anti-fraud)
      (Art. 6(1)(f)).
    4. Data retention:
      • Account and materials: up to 6 months after contest completion;
      • Winners’ public pages: up to 3 years;
      • Technical logs: 12 months;
      • Capsule storage data: per separate agreement (Appendix 3).
    5. Data subject rights: access / rectification / erasure /
      restriction / objection / withdrawal of consent. Contact for DPO

    6. Transfers to third countries / processors: under
      contracts with safeguards (SCC / UK IDTA).
    7. Security measures: encrypted transmission, role-based
      access, activity logging, DPIA for features involving children.
  10. Liability and Disqualification
    1. The Organizer is not responsible for communication failures, platform
      errors, actions of third parties, or social media content restrictions.
    2. Grounds for disqualification: violation of these Regulations, applicable
      law, or third-party rights; fraudulent activity; false data; official
      requests from authorities.
    3. The Organizer reserves the right to amend these Regulations (without
      diminishing acquired rights), extend/shorten deadlines, suspend, or
      cancel the Contest due to force majeure, with notice published on the
      Platform.
  11. Dispute Resolution
    1. Claims procedure: appeals must be submitted via
      support@eggifest.com within 5 business days from
      publication of stage results, including justification.
    2. The Expert Council reviews appeals within
      10 business days. The Organizer’s decision is final.
    3. Applicable law and jurisdiction: Republic of Cyprus.
  12. Final Provisions
    1. These Regulations take effect upon publication at https://eggifest.com.
      Participation constitutes full acceptance of the Regulations, Privacy
      Policy, and Licensing Terms.

Appendix 1 — Legal Representative Consent (Short Form)

  1. I confirm that I am the child’s legal representative.
  2. I agree to these Regulations and permit the child’s participation.
  3. I consent to the processing of the child’s and my personal data for the
    purposes of the Contest and acknowledge the Privacy Policy.
  4. I grant the Organizer a non-exclusive license to use the uploaded materials
    for Contest and promotional purposes.
  5. I confirm that no third-party rights are violated and assume responsibility
    for the accuracy of provided information.

Appendix 2 — Media Consent (Public Placement)

I consent to the publication of my child’s video and name in the format [First
Name, Country/City] on the Contest Platform and within the “Dreams Without
Borders” campaign.

This consent may be withdrawn via e-mail: support@eggifest.com.

Upon withdrawal, public pages will be deleted or anonymized within a
reasonable time (except for archived broadcasts/reports where deletion is
technically impossible).

Appendix 3 — Technical Requirements for Content and Moderation

  • Video: up to 60 sec, max 100 MB, codec H.264/HEVC, no third-party ads/logos;
    audio free of profanity.
  • Moderation: within 48 hours; reasons for rejection are sent via e-mail.

Appendix 4 — Voting and Anti-Fraud Rules

  • One vote per user per day; CAPTCHA protection; IP/device limits; post-audit;
    publication of aggregate results and number of removed fraudulent votes.
  • Referral links are allowed; paid or incentivized voting schemes are
    prohibited.

Appendix 5 — Schedule and Communications

  • Public calendar of contest stages;
  • Channels: website, e-mail newsletters, social networks (announcements,
    interim ratings, final results);
  • Support response time: up to 3 business days.
